European percussionist and AFRO-URBAN CONCEPT leader Eric Thomas performs live in clubs with music partner DJ CELYAN for more than 10 years.
They recently put their creativity together to make their first vinyl. The result is a tribute to some popular Brazilian rhythms such as Capoiera ans Samba adapted for clubs and DJs.
On side A “Electro-Capoiera” is a strong hypnotic and percussive groove where the repetitive and rhythmic melody of the Berimbau drives the dance floor in a kind of electro-ethnic trance state of mind.
On side B , tracks “Batucada n°5″and ” My sweet Brazilian drums” are popular Brazilian streets beats played on acoustic drums and percussions by Eric Thomas. Celyan adds his mix and sounds ideas as strawberries on the cake. The result is a more groovy impact for the listeners or dancers.
